From the park to the port through Leonardo's locks

From the Park to the Port Crossing a navigation lock in the heart of the reserve to visit the new Port of Mantua

After the departure, we sail on the Lago di Mezzo and Inferiore in view of the most classical architectural scenario of the city. The navigation then proceeds in the Vallazza among the characteristic presences of flora and fauna that live in this humid area protected by the Mincio Natural Park . In the heart of the reserve a “navigation basin”, equipped with typical “Vinciane” swing doors, will allow us to overcome a difference in height of about 1.50 meters. And as with an elevator we will have access from the “reserve” to the Commercial Port of Valdaro and to the Fissero Tartaro “Canale Bianco”.

This route allows us to discover the navigation locks (inaugurated in February 2017), which will be passed twice, and to come into contact not only with art and nature, but also with the modernity of the city. Modernity, art and nature linked by a single thread: water .
